There are a lot of aeroplanes flying over my house! I think there is like a virtual highway for them precisely above it. That's so noisy, disturbing us whenever they're taking-off or preparing for landing. That was a big one I can see in the morning.

Be not fooled! I just compiled two different pictures in here: the first one was the aeroplane itself, and another one was the cloud! I just made a overlay-blending to them!

I think this blossom is beautiful. The colors is so smooth. I love the tassels, which are welcoming the light. That's so lively morning when I toke it. I used Canon Powershot A650 IS in macro mode to shoot this guava's flower.

Sri Gading Flower

Special things may call sweet memories. This flower is one of mine. It is "Sri Gading" flower (Latin: Nyctanthi Flos) which calls sweet memories about my past grandmother. She loved this kind very much. When I was a boy, I always accompanied her picking them up from the only tree we had in the front yard. She could make them into a beautiful and fragrant lace of necklace for my little sister.

My beloved grandmother has passed away. The Sri Gading tree was also cut off. For years, I had not seen the flower until the day I found it in my neighbor's garden. I could not resist myself taking picture of if! Sweet memories about my grandmother re-nourished my soul and turned me into a set of delightful feelings that support my life whenever I see the picture.

Oh, Lord my God, give her Rest In Peace in your holiness. Amen. [skd]

What is fire?

All peoples in the world come into a crisis: fossil oil, which has been so expensive that many demos spread all over countries. The crisis of energy drives efforts to save the resources as well as to develop innovations for sustainable ones.

This concern about energy wakes me up to explore things that have something to do with energy making. I am not an expert in this field. However, it is very interesting. I started with simple natural phenomena, which shows a simple process of producing energy. My mind turned to fire, which was supposed by ancient cultures to be one of basic elements in this universe. Once I had a question, "What is fire?" Then I try to answer it by my own: fire is a fact of fastened oxidation process! Hahaha... really, I don't know whether it's true or false, but I am sure, that fire is not a-stand-alone element. There are always at least two elements to make fire. One of them is oxygen. Again, maybe I do something haphazardly! Help me to know the valid answer, please...

Anyway, I get some matches and get the room dark to do my simple "energy-project". The result is shown in the picture. I still used Canon PowerShot A400 in macro mode and inactivated flashlight. I just got it sharpened with amount 100, radius 1 and threshold 1. Done! [skd]

I like this picture. I share this during my progress in enhancing my skill in photo-editing. Not like another pics before, I have edited this cute little butterfly pic with less of manipulation. I just cropped it from the original capture and set the white level to make it brighter. I also set the saturation into +20. To finalize the pic I sharpened it with amount 75%, radius 1 and threshold 1.

Fly (insect)

Being well-designed from the beginning...
You are THE MOST!

On another blog, I shared my reflection on a separated fly. Such disgusting insects usually stay in dirty and vile places. Some days ago, I got a picture of another fly, which perched on a leaf in my veranda. Still inspired by the reflection, I write an insight as shown on the picture.

Flies may be insignificant creatures as they are supposed to be animal that brings many of epidemics. A question may occur in our mind, “Why do they exist? Why does God create such of dangerous animals? Etc…” We may ask this question for being the most superior amongst all creatures.

Instead of being more arrogant, why do not we think of our responsibility as human? Being human must be more responsible, mustn’t we? If flies have been well design by the nature from the beginning, moreover we human are! It is our responsibility to be thankful more significantly! [skd]

This quote inspired me to make a new category in this blog: motivational. Then I searched for suitable picture as an illustration. There are many wonderful pics on Flickr.com. I chose one from the photostream of Petervanallen (thanks Peter!). The original picture has title "row row row your boat". Originally, its size is 836*836. I have it resized to 1024*768 and cropped to match with the new size.

I think you could get the insight of the quote. It's about optimism to deal with many problems in our lives. We have to keep struggling. The given spirit drives movements from inside. We have to believe that our dreams will come true if we do something and give up not! [skd]

Gigantic statue of Vishnu

Vishnu, also known as Narayana, is supreme being or Ultimate Reality for Vaishnavas and a manifestation of Brahman in the Advaita or Smarta traditions of Hinduism (Wikipedia).
